What flowers are used in the UK to express condolences?

We would like to know which flowers, colours and arrangements are traditionally used in the UK. Thank you!

(this arrangement is to be send to the family home, not to the funeral)

What flowers are used in the UK to express condolences?
Funeral bouquets can be any flowers or colours, but lilies, white. are the most usual for conveying condolences,
Reply:Oriental Lilly%26#039;s...they are the most popular funeral/condolence flower
Reply:Lilies I would say. Although I love lilies %26amp; buy them for myself.
Reply:White Lillies
Reply:lillies
Reply:lillies.
Reply:The white Arum Lily is about as traditional as they come; when my neighbour and friend died, I had a bouquet of freesias made up for her because they were her favourite flower and when my mother died, my father had a replica of her bridal bouquet made for her coffin.
Reply:Usually white Lillie%26#039;s

I hope this helps
Reply:It%26#039;s usual to have white Lillie%26#039;s. Purple is also a colour they often use at funerals and sad occasions. I would go for white Lillie%26#039;s with maybe a purple bow or ribbon.
Reply:carnations or lillies.
Reply:If you wish to send flowers to the family home, although it is to express your condolences on a loss, there are no particular flowers to be used. Perhaps if you know of the person%26#039;s favourite flowers, you could have a bouquet made up at the florist. If you do not have this knowledge, have a bouquet made of brightly coloured flowers to give upliftment at this sad time with an appropriate handwritten card by yourself.
Reply:White roses, lillies or carnations.
Reply:Tulips
Reply:orchids are very apt for a way to express your condolences
Reply:White lillies or if you are close to the family/person try sending a rose bush so that they can plant it in the garden to always remind them.
Reply:personally, i wouldn%26#039;t send lillies, the scent reminds me too much of death and it lingeurs to much too. also you have the problem of the pollen staining clothes and skin. i find them very overpowering and problematic. i would send something very simple, but im afraid my knowledge of flowers is not great.
Reply:There are no rules those hand tied arrangements are very nice
